  • Henk Demeris, Ph.D.
    Co-Founding Partner

    Dr. Henk Demeris earned a Ph.D. in Measurement and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His professional career has been predominantly in education at the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities and tertiary educational institutions. He has expertise in the design, development and evaluation of flexible innovative programs to meet regulatory requirements, employer and employee demand, changing technologies and workplace requirements. He has participated in the evaluation of nursing programs at York University and George Brown College in preparation for accreditation by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing.

     

    He has taught quantitative data analysis in nursing, program evaluation, nursing research and scholarly writing at the college and university level. Dr. Demeris has been the statistical researcher on federally and provincially funded research projects regarding the success of internationally educated nurses meeting educational and clinical requirements in Ontario. His current interest is in successful completion of internationally educated professionals in the Canadian education system through academic support and coaching.

  • Erika Raymundo, PCC

    Erika is a seasoned professional and certified coach with a strong foundation in business, education consulting, and career development. Holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Business and certified by both the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Center for Executive Coaching, Erika brings over 20 years of global experience across Asia, the U.S., and Canada.

    At Gateway Strategic Solutions Inc., Erika plays a pivotal role in guiding international students through every phase of their transition to studying and living in Canada. She specializes in university application strategies, academic counselling, and student mentorship, helping students confidently choose programs aligned with their strengths, aspirations, and credentials. Through close collaboration with RCIC partners, Erika also supports students in navigating complex immigration processes.

    With deep expertise in personal branding, career coaching, and employer matching, Erika prepares students not just for academic success, but also for long-term career growth in Canada. She provides tailored training in resume development, interview preparation, and professional readiness—ensuring students are well-positioned to thrive both in school and in their chosen careers.

  • Jojie Quimson, RN, BScN
    Co-Founding Partner

    Jojie Quimson, RN, BScN (Hons.) brings wealth of experience as an internationally educated healthcare professional. Having experienced the process of meeting regulatory requirements to work in Ontario, Canada, she understands the unique challenges and intricacies involved. Jojie's educational background is impressive, with a degree from her home country, a diploma from an Ontario college, and an honours degree from a Canadian university.

     

    While Jojie has experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative, her true passion and extensive career have revolved around nursing. She has accumulated valuable expertise in various healthcare environments, including long-term care, hospitals, and public health. Leveraging her understanding of the Canadian educational system, Jojie is dedicated to assisting foreign students in their pursuit of education by providing guidance and consultation in enrolling in Canadian educational institutions. Moreover, she offers invaluable advisory services to Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs) aspiring to practice in Ontario, supporting them in identifying employment opportunities and navigating the regulatory landscape.

     

    As a skilled professional, Jojie not only manages and oversees these important initiatives but also serves as a consultant, empowering individuals to enhance their professional profiles.
